It would be really great to make an IMified interface for All Consuming so that we could update our consumption via IM.

Well, it depends. What if you are on a computer with a slow connection to the site? Or on a mobile device with a tiny browser that makes using the site unpleasant?
You may be right Kevin – those scenarios I’ve described may be marginal – but what I’ve found with IMified (for Remember the Milk, GCal, etc) is that the barrier to entry is so low, it actually does pay off. Just open IM, type, and get off.
Anyway, a public API would enable many less marginal 3rd party extensions – IM is just the one that I am keen on.
