I can buy music through iTunes, but I have to order Apple’s software through its store and wait for DVDs to arrive? Lame. I want instant gratification!

I have to disagree. Apple has a store (store.apple.com) for Mac hard and software, and since the iTunes store is for iPod software (music, games and in one country, video) I don’t see a problem there. Beside the Itunes store is also for Windows users…
Of course it would be nice if they would sell downloadable copies of their software, but downloading whole DVDs full of iMovie templates is not for everybody. And people still want the box and the physical disks as well.
