I bought a Scion xA because of its gas mileage, hatchback utility, great feature package, Toyota reliability, cute looks, and extremely competitive price. I couldn’t care less about pimping it or blasting booty beats out the back of it.
I don’t mind that they advertise them this way, and I don’t care what people do with their Scions. But the company should look around and see how many mild-mannered, middle-aged people are driving xA’s, probably for the same reasons I got mine. This year’s models are entirely gangsta-oriented; the original line-up (one cute, dorky care, one sporty car, one pimpable model) was better.
