it can’t search because of how it’s stored in the db, tag search is the best that software can do (if it’s still the same version/software used when it first opened)

Should do this

If you’ve only got 3700 items there are lots of options for full text search:
- http://lucene.apache.org/java/docs/
- http://lucene.apache.org/solr/
- http://ferret.davebalmain.com/trac/

Even doing full text search on the tags would be great (so I could search for “rails mysql” for example).
