City of Seattle should build more bike lanes

I’ve seen some spray-painted lines on the edge of a few streets around the city, even with a simple spray-painted “bike lane” icon. Looks like they’re the templates for upcoming new bike lanes?

They were on:

  • Yesler Way
  • Western Ave
  • NE 75th St

So some progress is being made

Yep, I saw spray paint on 19th and it’s just been real-painted this past month.

I saw this, too. I’m not sure if these count as bike lanes but when I biked 19th at least I felt that the spray-painted bike icons were telling cars that, indeed, it was okay for me to be biking along side traffic.
