It would be fascistic to push a single viewpoint on everyone everywhere for all time against their will (what if you were wrong?).
I would agree with ”People should…” if you could agree with a reasonable formula like “People should respect different beliefs and values”.
Who ever said anything about forcing people? I’m just talking about intellectual discourse here.
Of course one should respect different beliefs (as long as they do not infringe on other people’s liberties). This is not exclusive from having a rational, evidence-based approach to reality.
Just because I think everybody should think rationally doesn’t mean I want to put a gun to their head and force them to do so. Coercion is not a mode of thinking.
