It may lead to the dark valley of ontology, but would help shed a light on suggestions with vague suggestees (what’s the right way to call it?), like “the music industry”.

1. tag yourself and/or configure the box
2. look in the automatic algorithmic suggestion box
3. if you see something worth doing, add it to your 43things

It’s almost the same as the watchlist, but it will give the site a new angle and make it complementary to 43things.com.

I want to celebrate Towel Day next year on May 25th! (I might be digging up a foregone design decision though.)

Perhaps it’s better to be able to combine relative and absolute dates, like “remind me at an interval of 1 year starting at 2008-05-24”, or “a week before 2007-12-25”.

Because it is one of the basic activities around the site, users should be able to check off items with minimum possible effort.

There may be other ways to achieve that. Even now it’s possible to check items using the keyboard (tab tab space, tab tab tab .. space) but switching between mouse and keyboard has its own cost.
