Yes, the “untitled” headlines should remain unnamed at all. – So, I can mention things I figured out without adding a headline to them while OTOH, if I figured that I have to do something to achieve the goal, I can put that into the headline. So, the auto-headline “Untitled” just disturbs.
At least, if the databse doesn’t support any unnamed postings – then what about at least a or a ”...” as an auto-headline?
After a while of manual search, I found an Edit link behind my name on my “Your x Suggestions” page.
If it’s not a bug of SDT to reveal the user’s real name, at least, the place where to edit the real name should be pointed out more obviously.
As SDT apparently does not feature any account page where I could change my real name input or at least close my SDT account but probably exposes the connection Nick Name—Real Name to the search engine crowds, I consider this issue be URGENT.
I don’t want the connection nick name—real name exposed to the world.
Should Do This should swap the real name display for the nick name one, as soon as possible.
I expected the tags one can add to a Should Do This were AJAX, just as in 43things.
Apparently, it is not. Instead, when I hit the “add” button, I get a new page from the server.
Overmore, that page from the server, currently, most often is just the Error page.
Currently, when I enter a suggestion, it gets listed by my real name. But, like in 43things, I’d expected it’d go under the nick name. Otherwise, I’d never put in my real name.
Really, I don’t see the reason, why there’d be a need for a real name at all.
Alternatively, if there’s anything that really demands for a real name in the SDT database, at least, the user should get an option to toggle to the nick name. – Why else offered the sign up dialog a nick name entry?
If I’d add a Should Do This for any local issue noone of my neighbourhood would learn abot that, ever, just because English is not their mother tongue.
Therefore, I think, it’d be a good idea to internationalize SDT, so people of other tongues and would get a chance to put their local issues here too.
