All Consuming should should have a button that allows you to add items to certain lists on listsofbest (and allow the same item to be on multiple lists i.e something I own and a list for something I've seen)

Bringing the AllConsuming and ListsOfBests features closer together in many ways is something that would definitely make both sites flow much more naturally. There are a few suggestions on the ListsOfBests SHOULD do THIS site relating to tighter integration with AllConsuming as well. I think this particular idea is a great start!

All Consuming should have only one version of each book (hardbacks contain the same words as paperbacks)

This is essentially the same suggestion as this one for movies

All Consuming should have only one version of each movie (like imdb)

Agreed – this would definitely make it easier to navigate the entries in a more user-friendly manner (i.e.: not having to scroll through trying to figure out which version I saw). I also agree this would be just as applicable to books and music. Maybe implementing a duplicate merging system like 43Places has would help clean this up?

Lists Of Bests should allow you to "take" the whole list for algorithmically created lists

Would there be a constant link to the algorithmically created list to account for new entries added by other people to their own personal lists after having previously “taken” an algorithmically created list for yourself?

43 Things should not improve comment threading

...at least not immediately. It seems there are MANY great suggestions for 43things (as well as the other sites, which often means that suggestions from one would be equally useful on the others), and if I had a choice between improved comment threading and some of the other suggestions, I’d prefer to leave this one on the back-burner. Just my 2 cents. :)

43 Things should indicate which goals I have already cheered, on a person's goal page, so that we don't have to waste time clicking on stuff we've already cheered

Maybe colour-coding the goals, or adding a small icon/gif beside selected ones

Should Do This should allow entries without requiring that you agree or disagree 2 cheers

There could be many different reasons for wanting to post an entry, kind of like the different types of posts available on 43places – “A story about this place”, “Why I want to go to this place”, etc…

Should Do This should have an option to say that a "should" is being worked on

Maybe even having a kind of “percent complete”, where something in the early stages might be 10% complete while something that’s almost done would be 90% complete…

Should Do This should let you should a should directly from the listing

I can see it getting pretty tedious to have to click into each suggestion that I want to add to my list and then have to go click the should button…it would be much more convenient to just be able to add them “on-the-fly”.

Should Do This should create userpages for members where other people (members, friends, general public) can give them suggestions

For instance, if I want people to suggest things to me, then they could go to my userpage and write a suggestion like:

jonny_nut should…

Then other people can add entries and agree or disagree and vote how likely or unlikely it is and guess when it will happen…I’m guessing that’s the point, and I think I read somewhere that that’s a feature of the site, but I can’t find it, so either I have to start reading more carefully, or I haven’t poked around enough to find that feature! q:
