I’d rather keep slight barriers to having all my shopping habits aggregated by marketers, thank you. Have an option to use your phone number as an ID for those who want a one-number identification….

It doesn’t have to be GPS (since GPS reception is hard inside buildings), but something like WAP triangulation (which works well in urban and suburban areas, and has commercial developers).
I’m generally happy with .mac but find the synching quite flaky. I’ve nuked my address book by accident by adding an address from Mail.app while an automatic sync was occurring and i’ve had problems with the iDisk sync since the upgrade.
I can appreciate snc is a hard problem, but the flakiness stands in my way of recommending it to others.
I like my synched iDisk and i like the more space, but this upgrade has been nothing but trouble. First, the mirrored drive increase filled up my boot partition right before a trip. I had to spend time on getting that straightened out when i would have rather waited. I’ve managed by moving files to the iDisk—except the synching is flaky: files i thought i moved to the iDisk didn’t “stay.” Fortunately i backed up everything and i am now going through each archive, with synching turned off, finding the files that didn’t transfer with sync and moving them directly.
There’s no standard for where the power supply will be located. Having the option to connect on the right or the left is likely to reduce the strain on the connector right at the where it connects to the machine. Since my original connector has frayed there after less than a year of use, and i expect to receive a replacement power supply under warrantee, the cost of adding the second port on the machine seems likely to be reasonable in the long run.
