I think that between messages and cheers on their goals, users can already do this. I don’t think a quick ‘thank everyone’ button really helps that much.

All Consuming should allow people to sort their "things i should comsume" page by category (music/movies/books/etc.)

I’d really like to be able to view ‘movies to watch’ or send someone a list of books I want to read, so they can buy them for me :)

allconsuming should collect redundant entities into one

The problem with using Amazon as the backing store.. you get widescreen version vs. the special edition etc. Also, stuff that isn’t available for sale yet gets created by users and then later discarded as the ‘real’ item becomes available.

Providing some sort of normalization of these would allow for much better interaction.. one place for comments / tags / ratings etc
