Podcasting in Plain English

Enjoy!

Common Craft has done mention in CFL video that they contain mercury and MUST be recycled; throwing them in the trash & further ruining the water table to save electricity is no bargain

We recently revised the CFl video to include a reference to mercury and proper disposal. http://www.commoncraft.com/cfl

Common Craft has done upload the videos about blogs, wikis, and RSS to http://www.teachertube.com

Hey guys,
The videos have been there for a few months now. Cindy, I see that you posted the Blogs video too. Thanks, but I encourage you to please make sure I haven’t uploaded it first before you do it. Cheers!

Common Craft should explain how the Presidential Primaries work

I agree. It’s a very complex process. What makes the primaries hard is that each state is different – so many exceptions. The Electoral College is something that’s related that we’ve also considered.

Common Craft has done do a video about Flickr (or photo sharing in general)

Thanks for the encouragement folks. We have just published a new video called Online Photo Sharing in Plain English, partially inspired by you!

Common Craft has done do a video about Flickr (or photo sharing in general)

Hi folks,
So, lets say, hypothetically, that we were going to do a video about photo sharing on the web. What should it be about? What are the key points in your mind?

Common Craft should make a video called "Web2.0 in Plain English"

I’ve often thought of this and I think it could be a contender. It would almost have to be an opinion since it seems that it’s up for interpretation.

Should Do This should be more clear about the features of a paid suggestion box

Today I went through the process of editing my paid suggestion box and realized a few things:

1) There are two version of a paid suggestion box: a) what you see when you sign up for a paid account and b) what you see after you’ve mapped a domain.

2) The domain-mapped version of the site is exactly what I wanted, but I had little way to know what to expect. I don’t remember ever learning about all the cool things that happen once a domain is mapped to something like http://suggest.commoncraft.com. Suddenly the page becomes an island – just what I wanted.

My suggestion is to make these benefits more clear to users. Maybe link to a few sample accounts and/or provide screenshots that show the difference.

Should Do This has done make paid suggestion boxes more isolated from the larger community

This feature was revealed to me once I mapped my domain to the shoulddothis. Once you map a domain, like http://suggest.commoncraft.com, the suggestion box becomes more isolated. Visitors can only add suggestions to your page and the page doesn’t offer links to the larger community.

I really like the branded and domain mapped version of the site.
