It makes absolutely no sense that a grown adult between the ages of 18 and 21 is legally able to make such important decisions as participating in elections, and even sign away their life by joining the armed forces, while they are not even allowed to legally drink alcohol.
Not to mention all the perverse effects that come from such a ludicrously high drinking age. The US could take a page from Europe and the rest of the Western world. Demonizing is not a way to address alcoholism.
Either that, or move it to a Sunday or other convenient day that won’t deter people from going out to vote. Tuesday is just a ludicrous choice.
