Google has done donate money to wikipedia

Google tried to do this: http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Google_offers_to_help_Wikipedia

Google should provide an rss feed for the restaurant reviews that you contribute to Google local

Google Local lets you contribute reviews of businesses, like so: http://local.google.com/maps/user?uid=114463080584662082627&hl=en&ptab=1

When you go to the list of a user’s reviews it should be offered as an RSS feed. It isn’t.

Google has done include Gapminder.org-tools in Google Docs

Last week Google released a plugin architecture for Google Spreadsheets that includes the ability to create gapminder-style charts.

CapitalOne should allow a user to link a card to their existing user name

I have a CapitalOne credit card. I have a user name and password with CapitalOne. I should be able to register on their web site so that I can access my credit card details with my existing user name and password. Instead, I was told by their customer service rep today that because I have a new credit card I also need to choose a new user name and password. That is annoying. Banks should strive to make their security more human, not more arbitrary.

Amazon should unify their international sites

Amazon.com has different settings a profiles and wishlists from Amazon.ca and Amazon.co.uk and all their other international sites. It should be the same login, the same wishlist, and just different prices (local currency) and shipping details and whatnot depending on the local site that I log into.

Doteasy should not place advertisements on their 404 pages

I have paid web site hosting from the company doteasy.com. On their default 404 pages for when a document is not found on my web site, they place advertisements for their hosting service. I’ve used a lot of different web site hosts before and I’ve never seen such insidious advertisemtns from a pay host. This is the sort of thing that I’d expect from the likes of geocities, not from a company that I’m paying more than a hundred dollars a year!

Getty Images should have a better email unsubscribe feature

Getty Images sent me an email. I didn’t want to receive email communications from them. In order to not receive further communications, I need to send them an email with ‘unsubscribe’ in the subject from the email address that they sent the email to. Lots of people like me have email from multiplate addresses forwarded to a centralized address. This means that I need to go and log into a different email account in order to respond to the message. That sucks.

Getty Images should make it easy to unsubscribe by offering a web-based means of doing so.

Bell Canada should have higher-quality phone lines for their customer service reps in India

I have been on the phone with Bell Canada’s service representatives twice today. Their customer service is handled through an Indian call centre. Fine. But both times the quality of the telephone connection to the call centre was so poor that I had difficulty hearing the person on the other end. Bell’s a phone company. They should be able to offer as clear a connection to their customer service as I can get to my neighbour!

SuprGlu should allow users to rename their content sources

SuprGlu should allow users to rename their content sources so that they don’t have to accept the default feed names.

ClaimID should offer a granular meta-RSS feed

In the same way that Wink.com aggregates RSS feeds from all of your accounts, ClaimID should aggregate all of your RSS feeds into one meta-RSS feed so that your subscribers can get a complete overview of your online activities.
